Nanea Private Goilf Club Kuki'o
private golf club kuki’o
This world class, private links course has a strong cultural reference to the Big Island of Hawaii. The clubhouse is an open air pavilion for dining and relaxing. All other facilities are underground and out of site. The kapa cloth-inspired mural was designed by Pua Vandorp, the Island's legendary historian and kapa artist. The 1930's referenced Hawaiian furnishings were custom designed by The Wiseman Group for the club, and particular design elements were inspired by the tension between natural, organic forms and man-made incisions. This club is at the vanguard of the green movement for golf clubs, with recycled water, solar power, and organic fertilizers. It is developed on a land trust for the Hawaiians, so no other development rights exist other than the club and course.
