Celebrating 40 Years: A Message from Our President

It is not often that an Interior Designer stays in business long enough to look back at being in business for 40 years. I am amazed and grateful. All I can say is that when one follows their passion, the rest follows. Yes, I found my passion early. I was 27 when I took the leap into this business… Go ahead and do the math. 

All of the people who have made this continuing journey possible have pursued the dream with me. I so appreciate them, and I have never felt it was all about me. In fact, “we” is a company motto. It starts with those who first believe that their world can be more beautiful and reflective of themselves through the “we” of the design process. It takes a “Patron” to help manifest our particular art form. That sustained patronage in turn enables the formation of an atelier of artisans, architects, designers, bookkeepers, and managers to sustain this creative process. And yes, as I have said so many times… "It is not a product we are selling; it is a process.”

There are so many people that I would like to recognize for their part in reaching this amazing 40-year milestone: those of you who are still with the company, others who are not, and countless partners in our design community… each person necessary for the growth of me personally and of the company. To all of you, I thank you. This company, this Group of collective thinkers is such a pleasure to work with. Some form of TWG will survive long after I am gone. But until then I look forward to many more years of creative thinking and mentoring. Above all, I wish to help manifest beauty to as many places and with as many people as possible.
