Equestrian Estate
This home in Southern California is a working farm with olives, lemons and show horses. The client's goal was to create a comfortable environment with the ability to accommodate indoor and outdoor entertaining needs. The dominant force of the property is a sense of life and nature through landscape and animals, so an essential focus was to use bronze and glass windows and doors to create a more open feeling. Finishes and materials, such as wide plank floors, hemp rugs, and plaster walls were chosen to simplify the spaces and to allow the client's contemporary art to come forward.
